There’s just something about getting up early and getting a jump start on your day. Some people think its crazy to get up way before the sun comes up to start your day. But it can be really refreshing and rewarding. I like to get up by atleast 4 am on most days (usually because I am running a 5am class or with a client at that time). It feels like my brain and body get a chance to get a jump start on the day and become ready to take on whatever may come! I see this in some of the athletes that come to class for 5am FitCon or Basic Strength class – they come into the facility a little before 5am, eyes half open barely able to say ‘good morning’ to me, and then hop on a foam roller and get their bodies ready for class. A short hour later they have pushed themselves through another challenging workout – and their demeanor has changed – they are now ready to attack their day, and make it a great day. This could have gone a totally different route had they chosen to just stay in bed and get up an hour or so later. So I say give it a try, wake up an hour earlier than you normally would, get your day started right by getting a workout in, or just get yourself moving and the rest of your day will go much smoother! Never stop improving. – Jeremy.
